Student Health

At LES, we strive to have our students in school each and every day LEARNING!  We know that this is a tough time of the year for parents as you are trying to keep your children healthy. We want to support you and help in any way we can.

This is the season for colds, flu, strep throat, stomach bugs and as much as we dislike it– head lice. Take the precautions you can to make sure your child is healthy. If you need information on student health, please feel free to contact our office or school nurse.   Her name is Nurse Sigler and you can call the office and leave her a message. 706-321-2232

From The Principal's Desk

This School Year is almost OVER!  It’s so hard to believe.  It has been a fantastic year! We were very pleased with the attendance of our 3rd-6th grades last week for the ASPIRE TESTING—Parents, you did a great job getting your students to school that week—We were almost 100% each day!  Our K-2nd grade students will be participating in DIBELS testing this week and next week—we look forward to a great job from these students!

Monday Night, May 4th @ 6:00, we will have our last TPC Meeting of the year. We have three events going on that night—1) The Awarding of Reading Fair Awards, 2) some of the 7th grade teachers from RCMS will be present to meet and talk with any 6th grade parents or students present and 3) Election of TPC Officers for the 2015-16 School Year. Please don’t miss this important meeting.

Kindergarten Registration will be held Tuesday, May 5th—Thursday, May 7th—If you or someone you know has children that will be entering kindergarten next year, please come and register during this time.

I just want to thank each of you for a wonderful school year. We look forward to an even better year starting AUGUST 10th—I hope each of you has a TERRIFIC SUMMER!
