Ms. Holly

My name is Adraine Holly. I am so proud to be a part of Ladonia Elementary School. Education is a second career for me. I served in the United States Army for over twenty years. Prior to retiring from the Army, I decided to become a teacher and continue to serve my country by educating children. I have been an educator for the last 13 years. During which time, I have been a Teacher, Reading Specialist, Title I Supervisor, and Instructional Coach.

I obtained a Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Reading from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Additionally, I have a Masters in Educational Leadership from Troy University in Phenix City, Alabama and a Post Graduate Certificate from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I began my teaching career in Newport News, Virginia with the local city school system. In 2010 my family relocated to Fort Mitchell where I began teaching for Russell County Public Schools.

I have a love of reading and teaching students how to read. I guess it is no secret that in my spare time I love reading and spending time with my family. This year, my goal is to spread my love of reading on to as many students as I can! I look forward to working with each and every one of you!

“We shouldn’t teach great books; we should teach a love of reading.” B.F. Skinner
